Qafgaz Konserv Zavodu (The Caucasus Cannery) JSC, a member of Azersun Holding, was put in operation on September 12, 2003 with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr Ilham Aliyev.Embarked upon the path of development from day one of operations in the northern region of Azerbaijan, in the city of Khachmaz, the Caucasus Cannery has constantly moved forward in terms of producing high quality goods. The enterprise employs over 350 people, which also contributes to the development of the Khachmaz region as a whole. On 08.11.2005 the Caucasus Cannery was granted the TS ISO-EN-9001:2000 Quality Management System Certificate (No.KY-4187/05) and continues to maintain its records and perform all of its production processes in accordance with the international standards and requirements of the existing laws of the land. The management of the Caucasus Cannery takes all measures necessary to ensure that all relevant standards (DUST, GOST, TCE) related to quality assurance for the goods produced. Seeking to accomplish its primary goal of regularly producing high quality products and services, the Caucasus Cannery managed to boost its quantitative performance, tooInnovations in AzerbaijanIt was Bizim Tarla trade mark that introduced to the Azerbaijani market the first canned locally produced green pea. Thus, up until the initiative put forth by the Azersun Holding Group of Companies, the arable lands in Beylagan had not been used for growing green pea for canning purposes. In April 2007 the planting of green pea was commenced in an area of 152 ha located in Beylagan, under the State Program for Social and Economic Development of the Regions, and with the control and supervision of the holding companys specialists. Cultivation of green pea as well as the start-up of the production line led to creation of about 160 jobs in Beylagan and Khachmaz.
